ECOPEZ Project: promotes sustainable fishing and responsible consumption. From November 2011, this project aims to train the workers involved along the whole productive and commercialisation chain of fishing products from artisanal fishing. The objective is to increase transparency in product tracking and also about the origin of the products, the fishing gear employed, the principles of fair trade and the empowerment to adequately inform the consumer. All of this work reinforces environmental awareness on the sustainability of fishing resources

With the collaboration of the Fundación Biodiversidad, the empleaverde Programme and the European Social Fund, this initiative aims to promote sustainable fishing and responsible consumption through different training workshops and awareness-raising conferences leading to the development of a guide on sustainable commercialisation of fishing products.
